“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

Travel letter 2012 no.1

There is still no words to describe India, but it sure feels amazing to be back. The people, the colors, the traffic, the temples, the dirt, the smell, the madness. I feel all complete once again surrounding it.
From having people trying to tour us through graveyards filled with snakes, to eating food from leaves in holy temple grounds with monkey jumping around, to all the creepy staring men, to attempt to cross the road without getting killed; to sit in the overcrowded smelly blue train, with old men shouting “chai!chai!chai!chai!” when they pass you…. It´s a different world.
In the second temple we arrived today, we walked around, and we both got colorful marks on our foreheads. We were about to leave when a small girl came up to me: “but, you didn´t meet my God yet.”, and took my hand. She guided us into the main room, where she gave us yellow bindis at each side of the cheeks, flowers, bangles and milk to drink and pour over our enlightenment chakra.

Now we are on the train to Goa –AMAZING!- and I´m wishing myself a good night of sleep.
